Titans Receiver Busted After Car Chase : Kenny Britt Arrested

Add Tennessee Titans receiver Kenny Britt to the list of NFL players to get arrested since the lockout.

According to Jay Glazer and Alex Marvez of Fox Sports, Britt was arrested on Tuesday after a car chase in his his hometown of Bayonne, N.J.

Britt was reportedly charged with eluding an officer, lying to an officer hindering apprehension, and obstructing government function

A Bayonne police spokesman told FOXSports.com that Britt was charged with eluding a police officer, lying to an officer/hindering apprehension and obstructing governmental function. Eluding an officer is a third-degree felony; the other two charges are misdemeanors.

Bayonne PD says after a few miles, Kenny just stopped and he and his passenger attempted to walk away from the car. During questioning, officers say the passenger tried to bolt on foot -- FAIL. Officers arrested him for alleged possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

Considered one of the NFL's most promising young receivers, the 22-year-old Britt is coming off his second consecutive season with 40-plus catches and 700-plus receiving yards. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Britt also caught nine touchdowns in 2010 despite starting only seven games because of injury.
