Marty St. Louis Has Double Root Canal Video

Marty St. Louis takes a high stick in the Lightning loss to Pittsburgh that results in him getting a double root canal.

Lightning veteran Marty St. Louis talks about what he called a "careless play" by Penguins D Zbynek Michalek, whose high stick in the second period of Game 1 Wednesday night damaged St. Louis two front teeth and led to a late-night double root canal.

In the middle of the Pittsburgh's 3-0 win in Game 1 over the Tampa Bay on Wednesday, Lightning winger Marty St. Louis took a brutal high stick to the face from Penguins defenseman Zbynek Michalek.

The Tampa Bay Lightning didn't have the type of Game 1 loss that's going to spiral them into a depression or hand the series to the Pittsburgh Penguins. But that's not to say their 3-0 defeat didn't have its moments of pain and embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Marc-Andre Fleury(notes) had a strong game for the Penguins, making 32 saves. Among them was this save on a Tampa Bay point shot that Bolts forward Dominic Moore(notes) really, really, really thought had gone in.
